Since 2016, Panoptic Events have been involved with the fantastic TEDxGlasgow events, held at the Scottish Events Campus (SEC). The services we provide include Entertainment, Experiential Marketing and Artist Liaison.
We have organised outdoor entertainment in the morning, including choir’s and walking brass bands. Additionally, Panoptic arranged for saxophonists to play and magicians also during break periods.
When first tasked to find a band for TEDxGlasgow, we were to find someone who would create a lot of energy in the room. Therefore, we decided to put forward Colonel Mustard and The Dijon 5.
Colonel Mustard and The Dijon 5 went on stage at 8 am and managed to get the entire room standing up and “crossing the road”, which is one of their songs where they make people walk around a room. This was incredible and very unexpected, to see at a business event.
Despite a last-minute cancellation from the band we had arranged for the main event, we were able to bring in the fantastic blues band, Nicole & The Back-Up Crew, who played a blistering set which energised the room.

For our Artist Liaison role was to manage the entertainment on the day, ensuring everything ran smoothly, including, scheduling soundcheck and rehearsals for the artists before going on stage.
“Johnny, you smashed it ….loved your whole gig, Craig, amazing thanks so much.”
Gurjit Singh, TEDxGlasgow
“Alexandra also wanted to say thanks to you and your team on behalf of the choir. The guys really enjoyed Friday’s gig and she said that Ajay was great too. We look forward to hopefully working with Panoptic Events again soon.”
Gerad McArthur, GeO Gospel Choir
