From Glasgow Roots to Global Intelligence

Founded by Craig McGee in 2014, Panoptic Events began with a singular mission: to strip away the “standard” and bring the excitement back to live experiences. We started in the heart of Glasgow’s vibrant event scene, obsessed with the “Senses”—designing moments where Sight, Sound, Taste, Smell, and Touch combined to create something unforgettable. But as we grew, we noticed a problem in the wider industry. The global MICE sector was becoming too transactional. In a world of automated booking and generic itineraries, the “human element”—the boots-on-the-ground truth—was being lost.

The 2019 Pivot: Scaling the Vision

Our trajectory changed in 2019 with our first major international project. It was the spark that evolved Panoptic from a local specialist into a Global Event Architecture firm. We realised that the world didn’t need more “travel agents”—it needed experts who could take high-level experiential design and execute it with flawless international precision.

Today, we bridge the gap between ambitious corporate briefs and world-class delivery. We have taken the raw energy of our experiential start and used it to build a strategic framework that works anywhere in the world.

In the last four years alone, we have conducted over 7,000 face-to-face meetings with global suppliers, hotels, and Convention Bureaus. Our founder has personally scouted 350+ destinations to stress-test local infrastructure and vet venues for quality, sustainability, and ROI.

When we recommend a rooftop in Lisbon, a boardroom in Vienna, or a private estate in the Scottish Highlands, it isn’t because we saw it online. It’s because we’ve been there, we know the GM by name, and we know exactly how the space performs under pressure.
