Beò Festival

Panoptic Events were tasked with Full Event Management and Setup of the Inaugural Beò Festival in Skye. An event that attracted over 1000 people.

About The Festival and Site

Focusing on the best Scotland has to offer in all things traditional music festival wise, Beò Festival is a brand new hòro-gheallaidh, CÈILIDH FESTIVAL in the beautiful, enchanting and historic site of  Armadale Castle Gardens on the Isle of Skye!

The gardens were originally laid out by Lord Macdonald in the early 19th century. They were later restored and developed by our charitable trust for everyone to enjoy.

With 40 acres of trees, shrubs and flowers, including many exotic specimens which thrive in the mild, sheltered climate of south Skye, the Gardens are situated at the picturesque ruins of Armadale Castle.

Our Role

We started with consultancy on how to set up the Festival, provided maps and drawings of the area, and brought in a Health and Safety Officer. We booked suppliers (Marquee, Catering, Welfare etc), secured brand partnerships and took over the full advancing of the festival through our Event Mangement service.

Panoptic applied for the licence from the Highland Council. We set up a system online where all stakeholders had access to all information. This included all relevant paperwork that the council required.

We set up communications channels at the festival and established a chain of command and created an organisational chart.

All bands and vendors were contacted a month before the event with full timings.

Due to experience of being a music promoter, Craig was able to advise on tactics on how to PR the event.

Our team looked after the event from the site opening until close to the event.
