The Wise Group Awards – Case Study
Panoptic Events tendered for and won a contract with an amazing social enterprise company – the Wise Group. Our challenge was to create an awards ceremony that excited all of the senses and was a truly experiential event!
We had previously worked to create a Winter Wonderland event for the Wise Group however, we sadly had to postpone this due to Scottish Government restrictions, so after 6 months of waiting Panoptic finally created a night of wonder themed on old Hollywood legends and glamour from the golden era. As soon as guests walked through the box office they were a part of the show and receiving VIP treatment as they headed down a red carpet lined with huge Golden Globe statues.
l On the first floor of the Science Centre, guests were ushered into a drinks reception where a drinks reception was waiting. Along with the drinks reception we had a walking brass band, a magician, a caricaturist and a photo booth to entertain while the event filled up. Once everyone had arrived, guests were then taken downstairs to the venue where a storyline was running on the screens throughout the venue, making each individual guest feel like they were the star of the show. All lighting design throughout the event was themed to the clients colours and custom made chocolates were placed at each setting as well to add a personalised touch. Panoptic was also responsible for the design of all of the trophies and of the medal every single guest received that night!
Guests were served a luxury meal and awards were presented between courses to break up the event and stop the presentation from feeling stagnant. Additionally, whilst dinner was being served there was a jazz band playing on the stage! The wonderful night of luxury, entertainment and celebration was compered by Des Clarke and amazing live music was provided by the incredible Gatsby.
The night was filmed and produced into a video which you can find here and there was also a photographer special to capture all of those special moments that occurred throughout the night!
Panoptic created the story line and legacy of this event! We saw the event through to completion right from the initial pitch and were responsible for all aspects of event management and event design. We handled all event production, sourced all of the entertainment, produced any required graphics, and provided all staff and crew services for the event, along with providing a photographer and videographer. Additionally, we provided accommodation for 50 people from England and provided them with transport back to their hotels at the end of the night. We also booked flights for our entertainers and scheduled private chauffeurs to take them to and from the airport!
