Eilidh’s Trust Tartan and Tiara’s Ball
Founded in memory of Manchester Bombing victim Eilidh MacLeod, the Eilidh’s Trust Charity works to create and maintain a lasting and permanent memorial to Eilidh on her home on the island of Barra. Furthermore, the charity also works with children and young people in rural areas in order to help further their musical education, in memory of Eilidh’s love of her pipe band. We at Panoptic were truly grateful to get to work in tandem with such a meaningful and worthwhile charity to create a fundraising event for their wonderful organisation.
We at Panoptic provided full event management, event design, event staffing and a full experiential entertainment package for the Tartan and Tiara’s charity ball, with our hard work culminating in a truly unforgettable night of Scottish led music and immersive entertainment at the Marriot hotel. The night of entertainment was hosted by Scottish comedy legends Mark Cox and Jane McGarry – or Tam and Isa of Still Game as you may know them!
Taking inspiration from Eilidh’s love of the pipes and Scottish traditional music, Panoptic secured the legendary Red Hot Chili Pipers, Tide Lines and Beinn Lee to play the event, creating a night of fantastic music. Further linking into the message of the charity, Panoptic created a platform for young, up and coming Trad musicians to show case their work.
In addition to the showcase of wonderful traditional music, Panoptic also featured DJ Lee Marvin, a show stopping magician, and two modern Scottish dance groups, one of which took the inspiration from traditional Scottish dancing and fused it with a modern spin and the other who took inspiration from hip pop stylings.
