Panoptic has been working with the Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival since 2016, and it has been great to watch this 40-year-old event grow every single year.
Our first involvement was managing one of Edinburgh’s most iconic venues, the Spiegeltent in George Square, where we first got an understanding of the festival. Using our multi-sector approach to events, we started to realise that we could bring in more of our services to the festival. Very quickly, Panoptic became the festival’s accommodation partner.
We were able to create deals with Raddison Hotels and MacDonald Hotels to provide rooms for several artists. By 2018/2019, we were providing around 150 rooms for this festival.

We also brought in services from our experiential arm, allowing us to bring in sponsorship with one of our clients who we were working with at the time, Audi on demand. The demographic of this festival made a lot of sense to promote their services in Edinburgh.
As a result, Panoptic created an activation for Audi on demand on Edinburgh’s Grassmarket at the festival’s Mardi Gras event, where 30,000 people were in attendance.
The Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival attracts 75,000 visitors over 10 days, and Panoptic is delighted to be a partner with the festival.
“Your venue manager has been great tonight by the way. Very welcoming and on the ball”.
