Partnership Opportunities

Partnerships with the Citizens Theatre will generate greater brand awareness, business loyalty and PR opportunities focused towards target audiences. We will help you reach and influence key decision makers. Furthermore we collaborate with leading brands to fully integrate creative events into their marketing and communications strategy such as The Citz Sessions and Flicks @ Citz. We can deliver highly effective events, inspirational communications and innovative live experiences for leading corporations and discerning private clients.

The provision of new and enhanced bar facilities will provide enhanced opportunities to increase income from beverage sales. Performance related drink will immediately increase from opening.

Audience Stats 14/15
It was an exceptional year for audience attendances and box office income with both demonstrating sizeable growth in 14/15. Highlights include:
Audience attendances increased by 27% in comparison to 13/14 to over 80,000 show attendances and footfall through the building of 102,000.
52% of attendees in 14/15 were repeat attenders, with 48% attending for the first time.
Visits to the Citizens’ website increased by 33% with a 43% increase in page views.
Social media networks continued to grow with a 31% increase in followers on Twitter (currently 21k) and 60% increase of Facebook fans (currently 10k).
The Citizens benefits from one of the most diverse audience bases in Scotland. Audience data is profiled using Mosaic Scotland so we understand the demographics, lifestyles, preferences and behaviours of our audiences. In 14/15 we attracted 7% more Rental Hubs and 5% more City Prosperity than the South West Scotland average. There are two very contrasting groups – educated young people renting in urban neighborhoods and high status/high earning city dwellers.
Average yield per person increased by 61p to £12.11
February 2015 was an all-time high for youtube views of the Citizens Theatre’s youtube channel, with nearly 1,500 views in 1 day.

Exclusive Distribution Agreement
As exclusive distributor we would also request support in kind for our press nights. We have roughly 6-8 press nights per year and require 48 bottles of wine or prosecco and two kegs (or equivalent) of beer at each night. This would also present an opportunity to showcase new product.

In return for an investment for exclusive distribution the Citizens will offer the following benefits:

Acknowledgement as exclusive distributor in all related marketing assets including:
The opportunity to be named sponsor of two Citizens Theatre Productions (excluding visiting shows and Christmas Show) which would include logo placement and accreditation on:
10,000 A5 flyers
700 A3 posters – distributed in cafes, bars, restaurants, shopping centres, railways stations, and museums and art galleries.
120 60 x 40 posters – high profile advertising sites on Glasgow Subway, commuter rail stations (including Queen Street and Glasgow Central) , on street rotunda’s (West End and Southside) and outdoor hoardings (across City Centre).
Advert/sponsor’s message in the chosen production programmes – approx. 6,000 per show. Free to audiences ensuring high visibility.
Acknowledgement as Title Sponsor in PR and advertising surrounding the production
Acknowledgement as Title Sponsor on ‘what’s on’ show page for each production on Citizens Theatre website with hyperlink to your website and specific product website (260,000 unique visitors annually)
Listing as sponsor with hyperlink to your website and specific product website on supporters pages of Citizens Theatre website.
Acknowledgement as Title Sponsor on the production’s opening night invitation (e-invite)
Acknowledgement on the production’s digital campaign including video trailer, social media and e-newsletters (23k subscribers).
Acknowledgement within Citizens Season Brochures (30k printed, 8k mailed and 10k distributed city wide twice a year)

Opportunity for product placement and signage in the foyer

20 top-price tickets and programmes.
Six invitations to opening night and post show drinks, including interval drinks.
The opportunity to host corporate hospitality evenings within the theatre. Including access to an exclusive VIP drinks reception with complimentary bar offering beer, wine and soft drinks.

We also use flickr, Blogger, YouTube, Soundcloud, Instagram and Storify to engage with audiences and supporters. We try to create as much extra digital content as possible including video trailers and interviews on YouTube, sharing rehearsal, publicity and production images on Flickr, and encouraging cast and creative team members to write blog entries.
